Once upon a time, there was a girl who longed to keep a journal. However, this girl found that she only enjoyed writing if someone besides herself would actually, perhaps, get to read what she wrote. Years and years passed with sporadic attempts at journaling and wasted tendrils of half-formed philosophies floating, unfettered, away from her.
One magical day, the girl was pressured into making a MySpace page (Can you say “MySpace”, kids?). Lo and behold, she learned the joys of blogging, and began to write movie reviews, anecdotes and philosophical outpourings at will. The world was bright and sparkly!
Time passed, and the once-bright world of blogging was dimmed by evil spammers who tried to attack the girl in her blogging kingdom. Cobwebs formed around the pages of her blog, and the floor began to sag under bad coding. Finally, neglected and fallen into a state of disrepair, the girl decided that she must leave her kingdom and establish a new home.
Luckily, there is much more magic to be found on the internet! She set out for a new land, stumbling upon one which appeared to be hospitable and, with the help of merry woodland creatures, created a new home.
. . . . and she lived happily ever after.
